Can you believe it is already October! We have lots of exciting things coming up this month!
This week we will officially begin our reading groups. Your student will come home with a book or two in their BEE book (inside a ziplock labeled "book bag") daily. Please have you student practice reading these books at home each night and make sure the book is returned to school daily. One book will be an independent leveled reading book and the other will be on your student's instructional level. You may also use the "Kids A-Z" app with your student to practice reading at home. The instructions for this are as follows:
To practice reading at home, our class can login in to our Raz-Kids account through the app Kids A-Z. Find our class by entering "slunsford3". When your student clicks on their name, it will request a password. The password is your student's lunch number/student ID. He or she can click on "Reading Room" and then "leveled books" to pull up the books I have set at as his or her reading level. The reading level is currently at an independent reading level for your student.
