Thank you all so much for your generous donations to our classroom! Some of the items arrived without sender information, but please know these items are so appreciated!
Reading
This week we will continue to explore the Daily 5 by learning how to "work on writing", "listen to reading" and complete "word work". We will also practice making predictions.
Writing
We will learn how to use our Writer's Workshop journals and practice working on writing. We will also read several books about writing that include: Rocket Writes a Story, Tell Me a Story, Max's Words, The Best Story, Author a True Story, and Ralph Tells a Story. At the end of this week, I will send home Writer's Workshop notebooks with each student. They will need to decorate the outside cover (front and back) with items that will help to inspire their writing.
Math
We will continue our study on number sense this week by exploring skip counting by 2s, 5s, and 10s.
Science
We will continue learning about scientists and exploring the scientific process through our senses.
